The animal 'haunts' because it can simultaneously be vividly present and bewilderingly absent. For Singer the process of recycling taxidermy that was once trophy kill is a way for her to honour the animals life. Ghost Sheep presented at Blue Oyster Art Project Space is a work made from 240 preserved sheep and lamb skins, hung at varying heights to for a floating flock.
