White Boards: new work by Bing Dawe Bing Dawe
26 September 2000 - 7 October 2000
Bing Dawe is best known for his sculpture, but he is also a printmaker, drawer, rug maker and a self-described environmental protest artist. This solo show White Boards by Bing Dawe referenced the white boards used by fishermen to show up the course of migrating fish such as whitebait in estuaries and featured exquisitely carved and painted models of endangered and often forgotten species of eels and flounders.
