Flipside to the Darkside Cat Simpson

Flipside to the Darkside is a project that dives into effervescent fictions, working with playful eccentricity and passion. The project is using motifs and snatches of narrative inspired by the magical nonsense world of fairy tales to transport the viewer from the realities of a materialistic present. Motivated by a restorative intention and sense of responsibility to 'the social,' Simpson presents us with the choice to shift our sense of reality and expectation for a little while. The work is warped haphazard and quizzically cheerful offering a space for the imagination.
