Emily Harris, Who will teach me to paint the wind, 2005

Who will teach me to paint the wind Emily Harris

19 April 2005 - 7 May 2005

In the East Side space: Emily Harris explores what she calls an 'adolescent aesthetic'. The work looks at the heightened resonance of the music, imagery and ideas when they are encountered during formative experiences. The work is torn between the contradictory impulses of embarrassed rejection of sentimental cliche and kitsch while refusing to abandon the transformative possibilities of genuine emotional response wherever it is found.
