Nocturnal Emissions Jane Venis

Jane Venis recently graduated from the Dunedin School of Art (2001) with a BFA and will be commencing her masters in 2002. Venis's work looks at the kiwi mythology of the boy racer. The show is an installation composed of assemblages of exhaust systems and an original sound track. The sound element is composed from sampling live car sounds to create a techno track reminiscent of drive by stereo sounds. Lighting will be by 12 volt car headlights in a darkened gallery.
