Sunny Days Ruth Cleland
14 February 2006 - 4 March 2006
In the Lower Gallery, Ruth Cleland presents Sunny Days, a detailed collection of paintings and drawings. With a fastidious insight to the suburban uprising spreading through Hamilton and Mosgeil, suburbia seems to have an undercurrent like a disorder or order. People are missing or at least concealed through tinted windows; is their absense a reflection of the human condition that accompanies this new movement of sameness?
Presented alongside Drifting Observatories and Leah Houghton Plan B. All three shows seem to share an interest in the processes of habitation.
