Being made, the other is you is a new video installation by Ruth Myers that positions the viewer amongst processes of attempting to name or locate / attempting to perform a specific identification in such a way as to become reflexively involved. This involvement aims to generate a sense of accountability or ownership within performative processes of performing self and others. The need to identify is solicited through a visual and physical engagement with privately viewed ambiguous body / activities / movement / sounds, all of which seem to reference the particular, but thwart being made as any one something. They are formless and in between, and in this they seek your response, they are your reflection, they are you.
