Summer Lovin Curated by Steve Carr and Bryony Allan

23 January 2001 - 3 February 2001

Featuring twenty artists from around New Zealand and one from Bristol, the group show Summer Lovin Curated by Steve Carr and Bryony Allan explores the hidden world of the teenage love affair, summer flings and fleeting romances.

"When the heat has gone out of the sun and we're heading off into the long night, we look back and all that's left is the haze of those fleeting fun lovin, fleshy, meltdown, sweaty, crutch days of summer. We watch for those passing shots of colour, sweet whispers from the pillow of undreamable dreams. Our thirst is quenched. In the summer of 2001 to my alarming distress, the sun ain't so hot and the lovin a little less delusional but hey when the sun beats down...it really rocks, here. There is pleasure in everything."

"Lets get shit faced."
